Golf
The attractive Opotiki golf course and testing par 70 course is situated at the western end of Waioeka Bridge. Visiting players welcome at all times.
Hiona St Stephen's Anglican Church
The church of Hiona was completed by Reverend Carl Volkner, of the church Missionary Society, who first came to Opotiki in 1859. It remains one of the few links with the missionary period of Diocese, a reminder of the tumultuous times before Europeans settled in Opotiki, and the devastating calamities that can occur when different races and cultures meet.

Motu Cycle Trail
Motu Trails win national cycleway funding Opotiki District is to host a new generation visitor amenity, a ‘Great Ride’ for recreational cyclists. The $2 million project will be created to link Opotiki town with several different cycle touring routes along the Eastern Bay of Plenty coastline and into the historic hinterland, following the historic Motu stagecoach road which runs through to the Gisborne region.

Opotiki Mural Project
Opotiki's youth are now telling their stories in vibrant murals. As one artist said, "We are decorating the town with ourselves." A unique relationship has developed between the youth and the public of Opotiki since the arrival of the mural project beginning 2008. A tour of the murals is highly recommended.

Waioeka River Family Kayak Trips
