Muriwai Tournament

An annual sporting extravaganza of netball and rugby prominence.  Teams come home to Opotiki from throughout the motu to rekindle their Whanau links, celebrate their hapu and try to win the ultimate prize as supreme champions for the year. Whanau wellbeing, Hapu celebration, Iwi achievement, the Muriwai Tournament has all these ingredients.
