High Tide Experiences Adventure Activities

COASTEERING

Coasteering is an adventure activity that includes sections of traversing around sea cliffs close to the water as well as short swims and lots of jumps from rocks into the sea.

The Eastern Bay of Plenty provides the ideal rugged scenery for this activity, as well as offering adventurers a close encounter with a wonderful array of wildlife.

You will be equiped with wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets on a fun -filled journey scrambling over rocks and swimming across channels to traverse the rocky cliffs between bays. You'll get the chance to see the rare plant life on the cliffs, and glimpse the wonderful variety of fish life beneath the surface.

Min Group of 4 - Min age 16 yrs- Good level of fitness required - Must be able to swim

Bring towels, sturdy footwear and a change of clothes.

TUBE CRUISE

AT LAST- an activity even the young ones can get in on! Heading up the te Waiti Valley we'll end up at the picturesque Boulders Campsite with the meandering Te Waiti Stream. Grab your tube sit back and relax as the gentle current takes you down the gorgeof deep pools - or maybe the kids have different ideas: there are rocks to leap off, walls to climb, parents to try to tip over... Don't worry, it's not far to the end where we dry off and enjoy a refreshing drink and BBQ.

Min Group of 6 - Under 12's must be accompanied by an adult

Bring towels, beach or sports shoes and a change of clothes.

SURF CASTING

This is a highly popular and worldclass activity here in the Eastern Bay - make sure you get in on the action. This is your guide's all time favourite chill out. All equipment and bait supplied, as well as expert tuition from a local and canny guide who knows his spots! This activity is especially good on warm summer evenings and can include a BBQ on the beach.
