A pleasant drive of 1.5 hours from Opotiki takes you through the beautiful scenic coastal road to Oceanside Apartments on the beach in Waihau Bay. Considered by many to be the best beach on the coast, with 2 kilometres of a safe and sandy beach, ideal for swimming and kayaks (which we have available for hire).

Enjoy lovely sea views and magnificent sunsets from our large fully self contained Motel units with separate bedrooms, Queen beds, fully equipped kitchens, fridge/freezers, TV, Sky, DVD, Movies, BBQ and outdoor furniture. A fully equipped laundry is available on site. Our units will sleep from 2 to 7 people very comfortably.

We offer fresh fish and seafood meals all with home made breads and sauces, salads and vegetables fresh from the garden. A fully licensed charter boat is available on site for fishing and diving, with land based fishing areas practically on the doorstep.

We can arrange for your enjoyment Jet boat trips on the Motu River, Horse trekking on the beach or remote stations, historical walks, or a visit to the local Marae.
